This recipe is very old. It is an unusual and delicious soup. Serve with a crusty sourdough or rolls. Low-fat hot dogs work fine in this recipe.
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups water
- 1 (26 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 8 frankfurters, sliced
In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the potatoes, onion and water and boil for 15 minutes, or until tender.
Add the tomato soup and the hot dogs and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the hot dogs are heated through.
